The Biostatistical Support Unit

Biostatistical activities supported at Mater Research include:

• Assistance with project proposal and grant applications including sample size calculations
• Advice on study design, data collection and data management
• Statistical analysis, interpretation, presentation and publication of results
• Rebuttal of reviewer’s comments, and
• General biostatistical questions.

Biostatistical education for research groups is offered throughout the year and is advertised via the Mater Research Intranet.

All new analysis enquires and requests should be made via email. Enquiries will be answered weekly. If it is necessary to meet with a biostatistician, you can make a time to meet at Mater or at QIMR.
